About Canvas & Curtain

Canvas & Curtain puts the arts front and center: galleries, stages, concert halls, dance floors and film screens. We bring together the latest arts headlines from newsrooms near and far and publish announcements from artists, venues, festivals and the businesses that support them.

Why the name

A canvas for the visual arts and a curtain for the performing arts: between them, almost everything worth a ticket.

What you will find

Arts headlines by topic, a guide to the arts in facts and figures, and press releases from artists, venues and companies.

What we are

Canvas & Curtain is an independent online publication. We gather the headlines that matter to our readers from newsrooms near and far, link straight to the original reporting, and publish announcements from companies and organizations, each one clearly labelled Press Release.
